Nixon Library - 2/9/09

We visited the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, CA. Was very informative and nicely done.

This is Nixon's birthplace and family home, which is on the premises built by his father in the early 1900's. Had a guided tour of the home which boasted the table that the family had their meals. His father encouraged debate at the dinner table and Nixon said this is where his debating skills began. Nixon had four brothers and was adept at playing the piano, clarinet, violin and accordion. He was gifted musically and if he had not gone into politics, would have probably had a band.

Nixon's helicopter. Unfortunately, they were not conducting tours the day we were there.
